Green Sapphire Filigree Drop earrings
This stunning pair of earrings are handmade by Rainey Designs, Christchurch.
These ‘organic look’ earrings feature handformed filigree components - interlinked loops combined with deep, dark and mossy green sapphire drops.
Gold vermeil findings and leverback earhooks (gold-plated sterling silver). These natural gemstones contain caps that have been electroplated with a thick layer of gold. Earrings length from top to bottom is approximately 45mm.
Selma and Sean Rainey are jewellery designers/artists who have been making jewellery for a number of years. Rainey Designs create their ranges with an eclectic combination of recycled/found objects, mixed media, and delicate sterling silver styles. It truly is a team effort, and one that they are proud of, since both Sean and Selma design and handcraft every single piece themselves.
