Nostalgem Mother and Child Paua Shell necklace

This stunning Mother and Child necklace features pair of hand-sculpted paua pendants crafted from juvenile farm paua (abalone) shells. This necklace celebrates the inner radiance of motherhood (just like the inner lustre that paua is known for) and the enduring bond between mother and child.

These shells are sustainable upcycled creations derived from farm shell waste, so you can say it's a transformation from waste to wondrous wearables!

Each shell is captured in a beachsand setting – Inspired by the organic beauty of beach sand, and created out of putty and clay. Hand-formed with New Zealand beach sand inclusions, coloured marine turquoise to match the hues of the paua and the ocean.

Shell height: mother approx 15-20mm, baby approx 5-10mm

"Nostalgem is Rina Ward - Jewellery Artist. Nature Scavenger. Beachcomber. I collect pieces of flora and fauna (most often native to New Zealand) and I create them into one-of-a-kind jewellery.
