Contemporary Pounamu Roimata Koru pendant

This contemporary pendant is individually hand-carved from genuine New Zealand Pounamu (greenstone). Each piece has unique characteristics formed over millions of years, giving them their own identity, colour and character.

This koru pendant was handmade for HAPA by Hokitika based Poutini Pounamu (master carver Tyrone Tainui, Ngāi Tahu).

The koru represents the cycle of life, harmony, growth and a connection to whaanau and friends. It is the shape of 'continuous motion and energy'. The roimata shape represents a connection to ones emotions and empathy.
