Maumahara (Remembrance) Candle

This beautiful soy candle is exclusive to HAPA.

I love to light candles in our home, to bring a little warmth and magic into our environment. Ive always found it to be calming, peaceful, and affirming.

We named this candle "MAUMAHARA" - te reo Māori for 'remembrance'.

We have chosen to release this candle prior to Matariki, as a reminder that while loss is physical, we cherish our people through emotional and spiritual sustenance - a legacy of memory, pūrakau, storytelling, ritual and aroha.

The wonderful local pakihi Huikai Candles poured these for us and added a selection of quartz crystals and shells to each candle.

We put a lot of heart and soul into this candle - I hope it brings you some reflective joy and peace, the way it does for me.

Please recycle or reuse once the candle has burned down (drop a tealight candle in it to use over and over again!)
