Ceramic native bird vase/jug - medium

These wonderful native bird ceramic jugs and vases are by NZ ceramicist Kairava Gullatz. Her work is inspired by the beautiful Waitakere Ranges, her home for the last

Artist statement:
"It is always very exciting to see how the shapes of my latest treasures turn out when I print them into clay. The surface of dishes and vessels are textured this way expressing the uniqueness of all forms found in nature.
A wide range of slip colours, glazes and glass applications is an opportunity for me to experiment and find surfaces for my ceramics which enhance the textures or become the means to create playful patterns on my vessels"

As well as selling her works to design stores around Aotearoa, Kairava has been tutoring clay classes for children and adults at Corban Estate Arts Centre, Artstation, Studio One and Mairangi Arts Centre.

Dimensions: each one is individually made so the height varies from 14-16cm tall for this medium size.
