River Jayden Ceramic Mug

We are delighted to showcase the mahi toi of this incredibly talented local artist River Jayden.

This ceramic mug is part of her collaboration range with NZ lifestyle brand Moana Road.

It comes with a wooden coaster that you can place the cup on - or pop it on top of your drink to keep it warm.

Durable and beautiful, this design is called Kōtuitui - and each mug is presented in a gift box.

Approx Size: Mug - 9.5cm x 9cm. Coaster 9.5cm diameter.

Yes the mug is Dishwasher safe, but not the wooden coaster (wipe clean instead)

Please note that due to the nature of the glaze, there is the slightest variance in colour and finish.

River (Ngāti Tahu - Waikato, Ngāti Whaoa) is a visual artist and graphic designer who specialises in digital design and painting. Her visually striking work is bold and colourful and her murals & public artworks have gained strong national and international recognition.

River has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Canterbury. Her art history research looks at colonial and religious appropriation of Māori culture, with a particular focus into the appropriation of kōwhaiwhai patterns within Christianity, as a deliberate way to assimilate Māori.
