We are proud to introduce this beautiful piece from Rerehua Boutique - the KAITIAKI NECKLACE - Guardianship.

Kaitiakitanga is the cultural concept of guardianship. This is a piece to wear with purpose and intention, as a reminder of our role as kaitiaki to our whānau, iwi, hapū, hāpori and taiao.

"How can we be responsible kaitiaki? Here's a few ideas!
Grab a tea towel when you’re at the marae, the aunty's house, your mum's house
Give back to your community
Take your shoes off before you enter the marae or someone's whare
Share that kaupapa Māori post to raise awareness
Put your gumboots on and go to the hikoi
Throw your first catch back to Tangaroa
Reduce, reuse, recycle"

"He uri māua nō Kai Tahu, Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Whātua me Ngāpuhi.
Rerehua Boutique started as a lockdown project and by May 2022 we launched our e-commerce business online. We are based in Tāmaki Makaurau and our kaupapa is about creating taonga that celebrates the indigenous language and heritage of Aotearoa.
We have been working in education and the social services sector for over 10 years and Rerehua Boutique is a creative outlet for the aroha we have for the reo, tikanga and kaupapa Māori.
Our aspirations for this kaupapa is to create beautiful, quality and stylish taonga that can be worn for any occasion, particularly in professional spaces. We are unapologetically proud to be Māori and we hope when you wear our taonga that you feel confident, empowered and proud to whakanui and represent the indigenous reo and heritage of Aotearoa
Mauri ora!"
