Matakana Essentials was born from maker Kym Bracewell's deep appreciation for harnessing the power of botanicals and the native flora of Matakana — a place where nature and lifestyle are deeply connected. Of Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāi Te Rangi, and European descent, Kym was inspired by the richness of her heritage. This foundation sparked a desire to create purposeful home and body products that honour indigenous knowledge and support modern wellbeing.

These products are gentle enough for everyday use while still offering genuine benefits for the skin. The Hand & Body Wash and Hand & Body Moisturiser are pH balanced and designed to cleanse, hydrate, nourish and protect without unnecessary nasties.
