Welcome to Wiks Candles, a business based on whānau values and built on the love of little things.
I'm Wiks, a mum of three boisterous boys who keep me busy but who also taught me the importance of time out and self care.
Too often we get caught up in the pace of living, the never ending demands on ourselves. Too often we forget to pause, smell the flowers and appreciate the little things; the aroma of a home cooked meal, the heat of a deep bath, the warmth of a movie snuggled up on the couch, the laughter of your manuhiri.
I draw on spaces, places and times that recharge my wairua, that refill my cup. For me, it's the crispness of spring that is my season of replenishment. For my bestie it's the warmth of the summer's sun, the freshness of salt water on her face that is both calming and rejuvenating.
These are the moments and times I cherish with my whānau and friends. These are the moments I have tried to capture and share with you when you light a Wiks candle.
Ngā mihi, Wiks xx
