Matariki Candle

This beautiful soy candle is a collaboration between HAPA and local candle makers Huikai Creations.

I love to light candles in our home, to bring a little warmth and magic into our environment. Ive always found it to be calming, peaceful, and affirming.

This is our Matariki candle - in honour of this special time of year, and a reminder that while loss is physical, we cherish our people through emotional and spiritual sustenance - a legacy of memory, pūrakau, storytelling , ritual and aroha.

Each candle has amethyst and rose quartz crystals in it - a dynamic duo that bring calm, love, peace, harmony, emotional healing and protection.

They also represent the whetuu in the star cluster - Matariki, Tupuārangi, Waipuna-ā-Rangi, Waitī, Tupuānuku, Ururangi, Waitā, Pōhutukawa and Hiwa-i-te-Rangi

We put a lot of heart and soul into this candle - I hope it brings you some reflective joy and peace, the way it does for me.

Details: 100% soy wax and cotton wick. 11cm tall, 250gm, burn time 40+ hours, bamboo lid

Fragrance: wild peony and jasmine essential oils (we wanted a scent that smelled like Nannys maara/garden)

Please recycle or reuse once the candle has burned down (drop a tealight candle in it to use over and over again!). Or clean and use as a drinking glass and coaster, or storage container :)
