Hei Whakapiki Mauri

Hei Whakapiki Mauri Tote bag

$10

3 pieces in stock

This awesome tote bag supports Ōtautahi whānau with disabilities.

They are designed by local Whānau Ora initiative Hei Whakapiki Mauri to encourage our community to wear a mask - for those who can't.

Proceeds from this sale (the whole $10) go to this initiative to support kaupapa such as the Kōanga Kai gardening project, where whānau grow vegetables for one another and the community.

Hei Whakapiki Mauri supports Māori with disabilities and their whānau using a Te Ao Māori approach. By encouraging mask wearing, the rōpū aims to protect people who are at risk - our pēpi, mokopuna, kaumatua and our whānau with underlying health conditions. The message is about not just protecting yourself, but protecting others - sharing aroha, and wearing a mask to protect all of those who can’t.
