Waka Taua

This amazing Waka Taua is designed and made by Michael Rangiwewehi Dudley and his Owairaka whanau business Troublemaker, based in Welcome Bay, Tauranga Moana.

An integral part of our Maaori culture and heritage. Waka are vital to Maori history - its how we arrived here in Aotearoa, and form part of our pepeha when we recite our iwi connections.

This Waka Taua in particular was originally made and designed for kura so that our tamariki have access to this essential resource at an important time in their educational voyage. Now they are available for everyone to enjoy as a specisl taonga in your home, or a gift for others.
