HAPA x HUIKAI Matariki Candle

This beautiful soy candle is a collaboration between HAPA and local candle makers Huikai Creations.

I love to light candles in our home, to bring a little warmth and magic into our environment. Ive always found it to be calming, peaceful, and affirming.

This is our Matariki candle - in honour of this special time of year, and a reminder that while loss is physical, we cherish our people through emotional and spiritual sustenance - a legacy of memory, pūrakau, storytelling , ritual and aroha.

Each candle has 9 agate crystals in it - one to represent each of the Matariki whetu in the  star cluster - Matariki, Tupuārangi, Waipuna-ā-Rangi, Waitī, Tupuānuku, Ururangi, Waitā, Pōhutukawa and Hiwa-i-te-Rangi

We designed a simple label, printed here in Aotearoa and featuring whetu, stars, and the phases of te marama, the moon.

We put a lot of heart and soul into this candle - I hope it brings you some reflective joy and peace, the way it does for me.

Details: 12cm tall, 200gm, burn time 40+ hours

Fragrance: Citrus, pine, woodsmoke, berry and cinnamon spice essential oils (we wanted a scent that smelled like being outside looking at the stars, while wrapped in love and your Nannys blanket)

Please recycle or reuse once the candle has burned down (drop a tealight candle in it to use over and over again!)
