This beautiful art notebook has unlined pages, in a mixture of white and kraft papers.

It has a hard cover with a high quality modern reprint created from an extremely high resolution scan of an original cromolithograph created by William Shaw Diedrich Schmidt. The birds in Schmidt's work were based on the artwork of J.G Keulemans as featured in Walter Buller's book 'A History of the Birds of New Zealand'.

The exposed binding technique is both strong and durable, and lends character to this journal.
