These beautiful leather pieces are handcrafted here in Christchurch by Sophia and Lynley - "Two Puppies".

Inspired by the Huia, an iconic and once-endemic bird of New Zealand, known for its elegance, intelligence, and elusive charm.
In the misty forests of Aotearoa, the Huia’s delicate call greets the first light of dawn. Draped in iridescent black and subtle copper feathers, this legendary songbird carries both grace and mystery. Wise, elusive, and attuned to the rhythms of the forest, the Huia embodies the spiritual heart of New Zealand’s native wilderness.

About Two Puppies:

While studying Landscape Architecture together at Lincoln University, Sophia and Lynley discovered their shared passion for New Zealand’s stunning landscapes and extraordinary biodiversity. They were captivated by the richness of the country’s native flora and fauna, which inspired them to incorporate these influences into their creative work.

This inspiration led to the launch of a collection of handcrafted jewellery inspired by New Zealand’s natural beauty. Using the shapes, colours, and textures of native plants and wildlife as their muse, Sophia and Lynley design elegant earrings, bracelets, and other accessories that reflect the unique character of their adopted home. Through these creations, they aim to share the beauty of Aotearoa with the world while encouraging a sense of care and responsibility for the natural environment.
