NZ Pounamu drop earrings - double koru
These beautiful Roimata drops with double koru carved pieces are individually hand-carved from genuine New Zealand greenstone - Pounamu. Each raw-stone has unique characteristics formed over millions of years, giving every carved piece it’s own identity, colour and character.
Pounamu polishes and shines itself by absorbing the natural oils from your skin over time, enhancing and brightening the lustre. You can clean your Pounamu with a gentle soap if needed, but strong chemical cleaners should always be avoided.
Each set comes with an information card and a guarantee of authenticity.
Please note each set we get form the carvers is a different colour - sometimes dark green, light green, mid green - the pair we send may not be the same colour as the one in the pics.
The Roimata shape is widely regarded to represent empathy and solidarity, healing and emotional connection. The koru is a representation of whānau and growth.
Dale Borland is a whānau business run by John and Dale Harrison, and middle son Steven.
Dimensions: The Pounamu part measures 55mm long, with 25mm long sterling silver hooks
