NZ Pounamu Manaia pendant
This stunning Manaia pendant is hand-carved from genuine New Zealand pounamu (greenstone). Each piece has unique characteristics formed over millions of years, giving them their own identity, colour and character.
Each piece comes with an information card and a guarantee of authenticity.
The Manaia shape stylistically refers to 'having Mana' (prestige and power). It has the head of a bird, the body of a human and the tail of a fish, representing the sky, earth and sea. It is said to be a guardian, a spiritual piece that protects the wearer.
