ŌKU natural soaps embody the essence of Aotearoa, New Zealand’s native botanicals, drawing on the traditional healing properties of Kawakawa, Horopito, Mānuka, and Kūmarahou.

All 3 are crafted with care, and combine these treasured ingredients with essential oils to offer unique aromas and properties that refresh, heal, and invigorate. Free of palm oil and also vegan friendly these bars are great options to use on your body, face and hair.

- Kawakawa & Horopito - refreshing & cleansing

Featuring wild-harvested Kawakawa oil and finely ground Horopito leaf & oil. These are combined with the uplifting essential oils of Bergamot and Grapefruit and a base of pink clay. This bar offers a gentle exfoliation and a deep cleanse that leaves you revitalised and radiant.

- Kawakawa & Mānuka - healing & cleansing

Experience well-being with our all-in-one natural soap bar that is enriched with both Kawakawa & Mānuka oils and combined with the essentials of Geranium and Sweet Orange. It offers a soothing & healing cleanse. Infused with green clay, it gently detoxifies, leaving skin refreshed and radiant.

- Kawakawa & Kūmarahou - invigorating & cleansing

Refresh and polish your skin with this natural soap bar that is infused with both Kawakawa & Calendula oils with the essential oils of Mānuka, Eucalyptus, and Peppermint. Finely ground Kūmarahou offers a gentle exfoliation that invigorates and cleanses leaving your skin beautifully refreshed.

ŌKU’s unique formulas were developed by Scott Smith (a Medical Herbalist and Naturopath), and his wife Helen Paul-Smith of Tapuika & Ngaai Te Rangi descent. They have run ŌKU as a family business since 2010.

Utilising Maori Tikanga - ‘doing things the right way’ - helps guide their decision-making processes. They promote the growing and sustainability of NZ native plants and as they continue to grow are committed to contributing to land restoration and planting projects of the native flora and fauna.
