This beautiful NZ timber serving platter/board features engraved designs that draw inspiration from the rich tapestry of Māori art forms and practices such as Whakairo, Tā Moko, and Taaniko.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Occasionally dust using a small brush to get into the grooves of the whakairo.

NOTE: Approximations are made in measurements, as each item is crafted by hand, resulting in slight variances between them. 

Because this item is made from recycled timber, the finish is not “perfect” and there are marks on the wood consistent with a life lived full of personality and storytelling, and variation in the grain and colour.

Revolution Aotearoa, created by visual artist and musician Wiremu Barriball (Te Atiawa, Ngati Raukawa and Te Rarawa) represents a range of authentic Māori design products deeply connected to New Zealand's natural tāonga.
Drawing inspiration from his Māori whakapapa and his work as a Tā Moko practitioner, Wiremu aesthetically blends traditional concepts into modern forms. With a career in the music industry spanning 30+ years, which includes lead guitarist of the world-renowned band Katchafire, Its only natural that influences from his love and passion for music often show through in his art.
